Archaeological sites

Archaeological sites:
Serbissi Nuraghe Located near Loceri, the Serbissi Nuraghe is a Nuragic archaeological site that offers a fascinating glimpse into the ancient history of the region. The nuraghe—an ancient megalithic tower‑shaped structure—is an important example of prehistoric Sardinian architecture. Visitors can explore the ruins and immerse themselves in the culture and traditions of the Nuragic people who inhabited Sardinia thousands of years ago.
Scerì Nuraghe The Scerì complex stands in a strategic position on a granite crag, partly surrounded by a river, in the area of Ilbono. Inside the archaeological park you can admire a nuraghe, an ancient village, and two domus de Janas (prehistoric rock‑cut tombs).
Natural Pools of Bau Mela A natural paradise to discover all year round, in the territory of Villagrande Strisaili. These pools represent a captivating natural attraction, where the current of the homonymous stream has carved and shaped the granite, creating, through two short waterfalls in succession, a fascinating series of jumps and small pools.

Climbing :
Monte Tisiddu This mountain, located near Loceri, offers several climbing opportunities, with routes of various difficulty levels. Climbing enthusiasts can challenge themselves and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding region once they reach the summit.
Historic centers:
Loceri historic center Just 2.5 km from the agriturismo, Loceri is a small Ogliastra village, a land of traditions and longevity. Strolling through its historic center, you can follow the “Percorso dell’arte” winding through streets and small squares, enriched by around 100 murals (some of considerable size) and many evocative sculptures inspired by the local farming and pastoral heritage. You can also visit the ethnographic museum “Sa domu e s’olia” and the “Vecchi Frantoi” museum.
Gairo Vecchio historic center One of the most famous “ghost villages” in Sardinia, and certainly one of the most beautiful and evocative corners of the Ogliastra region and the whole island. Especially in autumn and winter, on cold, foggy days, you feel as though you are walking through an enchanted atmosphere, wrapped in the mist of the past.
